accessibility

physical access needs

My main treatment room at The Plane Tree is on the first floor and there is one set of stairs to climb to the room. If you are in need of a ground floor room, for instance, if you are a wheelchair user, someone with limited mobility due to arthritis, or are heavily pregnant I run a Wednesday morning clinic in a room just by the front door which is level with the street. Our bathroom is also wheelchair accessible.

gender and sexuality

I work in an appreciative and affirming way with people of all gender identities and sexualities in my practice, and use non gendered language especially around hormonal, reproductive and genitourinary health. Having navigated my own healthcare as a white, able-bodied, queer & gender non-conforming person using they/them pronouns, I understand some of the nuances and barriers many LGBTQI+ people can face when seeking support with their health and wellbeing. I also understand there are many people who have different experiences to my own, especially those who are intersex, global majority or have a physical disability, and I aim to create safer and more culturally competent spaces where I can.

financial accessibility

Please be in touch to see if there are any reduced fee spaces available if finances are a barrier to you accessing care with me. People that are refugees and asylum seekers, people who have the right to remain, or have these life events as part of their histories and are now British citizens are encouraged to contact me. People who have been historically marginalised, for example, people who are black, mixed-race, or are part of the global majority racially, people with disabilities, people who are part of the queer, trans, intersex, and gender-nonconforming community, along with people who are single parents or full-time carers, are also encouraged to be in touch.

language and accessibility

I speak English and limited Spanish. If you have an interpreter for another language or BSL you need to have present, or if you need me to wear a see-through face mask please be in touch and let me know.
